      If a patient cancels or miss their appointment, you can use the following CDT codes to track it by using:

       

      D9986- Missed 

      D9987- Cancelled 

       

      This will allow your office to better track your patient no shows as you look through the reports. Over time, you will understand why patients miss their appointments to quickly reschedule them for another visit.
